Old High School Yearbooks
Ah, the 50s, 60s, 70s where did the time go?
A yearbook is a time capsule. Memories line the dusty pages and help us recall that hey, we really were young once!
Flipping through the pages of your yearbook can muster memories good and bad, memories of loves come and gone, memories of fun and of dramas.
My husband and I keep our highschool yearbooks (7 between us, I skipped a grade) on the top of our study bookshelf. One day my daughter Becky dropped off my grandson Chris and granddaughter Bethany because Becky had a friends wedding to attend. The kids were playing in the study (at 6 & 7 they can already use the computer! Simply astounding.) and well you know kids, they're good at finding trouble. They built a tower out of pillows and end tables to get at the old statue of Dean Martin we keep up on top of our bookshelf. Unable to build it tall enough to reach the top, they pulled down a few books to look at.
Well, of course they got into my Senior class yearbook and upon seeing the mustaches and horns I'd drawn on some of my fellow classmates, they decided to make some artwork of their own. Suffice it to say, at the end of the day, I was in need of a replacement yearbook.
I got on the internet and found it nearly impossible to find a duplicate.
After all the trouble I went through to have it replaced (and I did eventually) I figured that there must be others out there just like myself who are looking to either replace a yearbook or find an old one as a gift for a friend. That's why I started this site. I have listed all the yearbooks I could find on the internet, split up by state to make searching easier.
Yearbooks really are wonderful, I hope you can find the one you're looking for.
